Joseph Taylor, Violin

Joseph Taylor is a passionate violin teacher and musician who has recently joined Music Orchard Richmond as a Teaching Artist. With a commitment to music education and inclusion, Joseph brings a wealth of experience to the Richmond, VA community. 

As a private violin teacher, Joseph has played a pivotal role in shaping the musical journeys of numerous students. Joseph's unwavering belief in the transformative power of music fuels his mission to ensure that everyone has access to the joys of music. 

Joseph's educational background is firmly rooted in music, holding a Bachelors degree in Music Theory and Composition from The Catholic University of America. Additionally, he holds an AA in Education demonstrating his commitment to teaching and learning. Joseph has earned Suzuki Teacher Certification for books 1 and 2 and has ambitious plans to continue earning more Suzuki Certifications to further enrich his teaching skills. 

Before joining Music Orchard Richmond, Joseph held various teaching positions, including running a successful Private Home Studio in Richmond, VA, teaching private lessons at multiple Music & Arts locations, and sharing his love of music as a Piano Teacher for Piano Keys 4 Kids. 

Beyond his teaching endeavors, Joseph plays in the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra and is an avid composer. In his free time, he enjoys drawing and weight training.
